I was honored to host the Fort Collins 2019 Symposium on Microgrids at Colorado State University this year! We had 140 microgrid experts from industry, academia and government attend the symposium, representing 24 countries. The keynote address was given by the Mayor of Fort Collins, Dr. Wade Troxell. Technical presentations on microgrids in the Americas, Europe & Africa, and Asia & Oceania regions were given. Special panels were held on Microgrids for Resiliency, DC Microgrids, and Remote Applications. Attendees enjoyed tours of CSU’s Powerhouse Energy Campus, New Belgium Brewery, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and The Alliance Center.
The event was sponsored by CSU’s Office for the Vice President of Research and the following industrial sponsors: Moser Energy Systems, Platte River Power Authority, RTDS, NREL, Typhoon, Spirae, Goldwind, and Vestas.
